There’s something about a bank holiday that really gets the creative juices flowing.

Perhaps it’s the extra day off work – the brain needs a little something extra to focus on – or perhaps it’s simply the gift of an extra few hours over the weekend; there’s enough time to finish all those jobs you’ve been putting off!

One of our favourite things is coming in to Wicked HQ after a bank holiday weekend, and scrolling through all of the new photos you’ve tagged us in.

Not only is it exciting to see our product looking so fab on your Instagram feeds, but – more importantly – we’re so proud that we have such talented customers.

After all, inspiring others to build their own furniture was one of the main reasons we started Wicked Hairpins, and it’s amazing that social media lets us see that happening.

If you built something super-cool that we haven’t featured, just remember to take @wickedhome, or use the hashtag #wickedhome so we can see what you’ve created.

If you’re yet to start building, hopefully these will get you inspired for your next project – and you don’t have to wait for the next bank holiday!

Ikea Hack: Eket Cabinet to bedside table

@clasmi popped a set of 8 inch, 2 rod, clear coated hairpins on the base of her Ikea Eket cabinet, and tranformed it into a stylish hairpin bedside table. Simple and delicious!

Handmade + Hairpins: Plywood Console Table

@the_peacocks_nest has wowed us with building this fantastic console table from scratch, pairing it with our copper plated hairpin legs. Gorgeous job!

Working on the Weekend

We’ve also got two fantastic small businesses to share with you, who got stuck in and created some awesome work over the bank holiday weekend – that’s dedication for you!

@theoldboardco used our X Design bold steel legs to hold up a mighty oak dining table, and @boostarwood created a stunning sweet chestnut coffee table – both  are looking beautiful.

Bonus Cute Pet Photo!

@kayamcolquhoun‘s gorgeous pooch Riley is clearly loving her new Olive hairpins!

We know that’s just a handful of all the projects completed over the bank holiday weekend – so we’d love to see any other photos you may be hiding up your sleeve! If you have any questions or need any advice for your next project, just give us a shout and we’ll be happy to lend a hand.
